‘The Afterlife of Birds, written and directed by Abhishek, much like his other recent works, is based on conflict and the lives of the people touched by, and living in areas of conflict. This play won the Robert Bosch Arts grant for 2011 and has been developed through workshops with the cast.  The play is based on research based on the lives of former LTTE suicide bombers  and the parents of the young boys accused of terror in recent times. In a quick chat with Bangalore Mirror, he gives us insights of what to expect in this much-awaited play.’
