Rizwaan Again on November 14th, Sunday at Rangashankara

Indian Ensemble Presents

(A Play in Hindustani & English))

Written & Directed by Abhishek Majumdar

based on Agha Shahid Ali’s collection of poems

‘The country without a post office’

devised by Indian Ensemble & Students of FTII, Pune.

Set in Kashmir, Rizwaan tells the tale of a young (Kashmiri) boy and his experience of losing

loved ones

due to violence caused by both insurgency and military occupation.

Its also a reflection on the larger questions of life and death.

The play is also a fundraiser for ‘ PeaceWorks ‘, an initiative by Seagull books to enable

peaceful engagements in areas under conflict through the arts; and also to enable workshops, lectures and performances with students in Kashmir.
